An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design and Technology Teacher (Textiles) to join a prestigious grammar school in Warwickshire. We are looking for a knowledgeable and creative Design and Technology Teacher (Textiles) who is eager to bring energy vision and leadership to our highachieving Design & Technology Department.

This role is ideal for an experienced Design and Technology Teacher (Textiles) who thrives in an academically focused setting and who is confident in delivering lessons across Key Stages 3 4 and 5. The successful candidate will be passionate about textiles education and dedicated to inspiring students to explore both traditional and contemporary textile design practices.

Role Responsibilities
As a skilled Design and Technology Teacher (Textiles) you will:

  • Teach across Key Stages 3 to 5 delivering highquality challenging and inspiring lessons in textiles.

  • Lead the development of curriculum content and assessment strategies for textilesbased projects.

  • Promote practical skillsbased learning alongside conceptual and theoretical understanding.

  • Support students in producing ambitious and creative design work including GCSE and ALevel coursework.

  • Collaborate with other Design and Technology Teachers (Textiles) to drive excellence within the department.

  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of textiles and design education sharing expertise with the wider team.

  • Contribute to wholeschool initiatives and enrichment activities linked to the arts fashion and sustainability.
