Job Description

The Role

Were looking for someone passionate about student life culture exchange and supporting international students as they learn grow and explore.For this role youll need to have excellent people skills and administration skills. You will be creative and energetic as well as organised and with a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with the Accommodation Manager and the Student Services manager to ensure our services facilitate a time of your life experience for all students.

This role will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills; projecting a courteous and professional manner at all times.


Key Duties & Responsibilities


Accommodation Management

  • Place students in homestay hosts and student residences as well as hotels where applicable.
  • Ensure that accurate uptodate records of all accommodation bookings are kept.
  • Act on any issues that arise in accommodation in order to ensure student satisfaction.
  • Proactively foster good relationships with all accommodation providers including homestay hosts residences and hotels.
  • Regularly visit accommodation providers and ensure they adhere to policies and standards.
  • Ensure that voids are minimized in any accommodation by achieving the occupancy targets.
  • Communicate accommodation availability accurately to Sales Admissions and Senior Leadership.

Welfare

  • Take responsibility for the welfare safety and care of students at all times; ensure the students adhere to the college rules and high levels of care are provided by all accommodation providers. Extra duty of care is required for students under the age of 18.
  • Inform the Centre Director of any welfare issues make a record and escalate appropriately.
  • Proactively seek feedback from students and act on any welfare concerns.
  • Keep up to date on all aspects of student welfare and health & safety.
  • Participate in the rota with the college team to provide emergency telephone support out of office hours (evenings and weekends).
  • Participate in attendance monitoring as required on a daily basis and follow up on absences with special attention given to any under18s not attending class.

Social Service & Reception Support

  • Greet students and visitors at reception with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Support student induction processes including welcome briefings and satisfaction surveys.
  • Respond to inperson email and phone enquiries regarding courses accommodation and activities.
  • Assist with bookings payments and maintaining accurate student records in our systems.
  • Maintain a tidy and welcoming environment in reception and shared spaces.
  • Liaise with the Academic Admissions and Sales teams to ensure a seamless and supportive student journey.
  • Promote a positive respectful and culturally inclusive working environment.
  • Manage walkin enquiries effectively to maximise sales.
  • Manage requests for extensions and upgrades effectively to maximise sales.

What we are looking for

Desirable Knowledge Qualifications and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Experience working with groups of international students participating in education or social programmes
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and best practices particularly relating to under18s
  • Knowledge of Liverpool and local cultural landmarks
  • Proficient in more than one language

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong administration skills.
  • Highly organised methodical and able to manage a varied and demanding workload with close attention to detail.
  • Comfortable speaking confidently in front of groups.
  • Able to work evenings or weekends for occasional events or excursions.
  • Creative with a keen eye for content creation.
  • Competent in IT systems including Excel and numerate.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to deliver results.
  • Resilient with a flexible cando approach to work.
  • Results and customerfocused with high expectations of self and others.
