JOB TITLE:
Director of Compliance
JOB PURPOSE:
The University of Wyoming (UW) is accepting applications for a Director of Compliance. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance & Olympic Sports in running the daytoday operations of the compliance unit. The projected start date for this position is July 1 2025. The position will remain open until filled. This is a fulltime 12 month) benefited position.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in the design and substance of UWs NCAA Compliance program. This position collaborates with the Compliance Staff to plan and develop athletic compliance objectives and content.
- Will assist with developing updating and managing the disbursement interpretation and application of athletics compliance rules regulations UW and Mountain West Conference policies and procedures as assigned.
- Assists with the recruiting monitoring efforts such as official and unofficial visits recruiting activity logs and other recruiting activities.
- Assists with implementation of a comprehensive NCAA rules education program for coaches staff and studentathletes.
- Will be responsible for the certification of NCAA academic eligibility for all studentathletes.
- Will coordinate all APR/GSR related issues (e.g. data entry analyses projections waivers etc..
- Maintains thorough knowledge of university academic programming for application to NCAA progress towards degree regulations.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Assists with other duties/projects as assigned/directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree required.
- Working knowledge of Division 1 NCAA rules and regulations 1 year experience required).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills exceptional writing skills required attention to detail ability to multitask.
- Exposure to a NCAA based recruiting/monitoring software (Teamworks).
- Ability to work under time sensitive deadlines.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn University of Wyoming Athletic Department and MWC rules and regulations.
- Valid drivers license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- J.D. or masters in related field preferred.
- Ability to analyze and address problems using reasoning and the interpretation and application of theories and principles to develop and recommend alternatives and best courses of action.
- Ability to understand the demands of an athletic environment and to ensure institutional compliance to specific rules and regulations (e.g. NCAA Mountain West Conference).
- Strong computer skills with proficiency using standard office software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work under time sensitive deadlines.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn University of Wyoming Athletic Department and MWC rules and regulations.

Oncampus: This position provides vital support to campus customers and the successful candidate must be available to work on campus.
