Job Description

Job Summary
The Associate Vice President of Educational Partnerships is responsible for providing leadership in the planning organization administration continuous review evaluation development coordination and implementation of educational partnership programs and student services grant initiatives at the College. This role also involves managing partnerships with K12 schools higher education institutions and community organizations through ongoing evaluation and development. The AVP leads the development and coordination of transfer and articulation programs student life department and offers vision and leadership that foster initiative growth and entrepreneurial opportunities ultimately leading to increased enrollment and student success.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Vice President of Student Development develop and implement an educational partnership strategic plan for the student services division which will lead to increased enrollment and student success. Works with the VP of Student Development to provide leadership for the growth of dual credit enrollments and offerings as well as expansion of dual credit to additional independent school districts (ISDs) and/or K12 institutions of learning. Serves as a liaison or representative on committees on behalf of the Vice President as needed. Meet regularly with Secondary Partners administrators such as Superintendents Principals CTE Directors to ensure their needs are being met. Ensures alignment between high school student endorsements and TSC dual pathways while effectively evaluating each high school lab for potential course offerings. Assists with the process of systemic review and evaluation of the Dual Program and student services support functional area per the model adopted by the College. Serve as an advocate in the community creating strategic alliances with economic development entities businesses community groups and civic organizations as appropriate. Participates in community and civic organization events and represents the College as requested by the Vice President of Student Development. Provides leadership in the development implementation and evaluation of College policies procedures and guidelines pertaining to community relations/school district as appropriate. Utilizes traditional (networking brochures advertisements) and innovative (social media) marketing strategies effectively promote dual enrollment opportunities foster articulation agreements in higher education and strengthen community partnerships. Assists the VP of Student Development to build and foster strategic partnerships with the business community Texas Workforce Commission and other local state and federal organizations to grow student enrollment and increase student success. Assists in identifying outside funding sources and in preparing proposals and grant applications; manages compliance and tracks grant awards Represent the College through external working relationships. Advance the role of the College in local and statewide development by facilitating and collaborating in projects and programs connecting with K12 higher education and community organizations. Collaborate with Academic and Student Services departments high school and fouryear transfer partners and other external stakeholders to aid in the development and formalization of articulated programs institutional articulation agreements memoranda of understanding and datasharing agreements. Develop and maintain transfer and articulation reports to track institutional agreements transfer program development implementation and related data. Oversee budgeting accounting and financial reporting activities for assigned departments. Serve as the administrator for external grants related primarily to coordinate applications for funding reporting requirements program audits and fund analyses. Provide program and fiscal oversight and implementation. Works with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment to assist and coordinate in the preparation of student services division institutional planning and effectiveness reports. Coordinate with faculty and college administrators to conduct institutional research and evaluate student and program outcomes as needed. Coordinate assists and tracks the preparation of internal and external institution planning and effectiveness reports within the student services division for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board THECB professional accrediting agencies and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges SACSCOC . Propose administer and monitor operational and grant budgets within the student services division; monitor and control expenditure. Supervise the performance of assigned staff conduct performance evaluations as required and provide for their continued professional growth and development. Develops directs and evaluates innovative programs and services that enhance student involvement and engagement outside the classroom. Ensures opportunities for students to participate in cocurricular student experiences. These include appropriate facilitation and supervision of club/organizational activities student governance organizations and involvement opportunities that enhance the overall educational experiences of students through development of exposure to and participation in social cultural multicultural intellectual recreational community service and student governance. Ensure compliance of state and federal employment laws and college policies and procedures. Facilitate the resolution of staff issues. Review and Personnel Action Records PAR for Division and forward exceptions to the Vice President. Oversees and manages the VIST and AmeriCorps grantfunded positions in collaboration with the AVP of Student Services to ensure proper assignment and utilization of allocated Assists the Vice President in developing recommending and implementing short and longrange strategic operational and instructional plans and related policies and procedures. Assists with the preparation and production of College commencement exercises. Perform other duties as assigned.
