This position is open to Alaskan Residents only.


What you will be doing:
In this position You will receive the applications for financial assistance for assisted living placements through the General Relief and Temporary Assistance Program. Coordinates with supervisors and the Division of Public Assistance to make accurate timely eligibility determinations and benefit authorizations. In this position you will also processthe monthly General Relief/Temporary Assisted Living authorizations and coordinate with providers to ensure all program requirements are met and invoices submitted are complete and accurate.

The working environment you can expect:
This position is located in Anchorage Alaska
The office is located in Northeast Anchorage 1835 Bragaw Street).
It is near Costco East High School various restaurants and a coffee shop. Parking is readily available at the office. You will work closely with other members in both the Division and the Department of Health. This position involves occasional travel.There may be an opportunity for a hybrid telework schedule once you have successfully passed the probation period.

Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent:
AND
Three years of clerical experience with one year of experience in public health health care services senior services medical assistance programs health education nursing medical social work health services administration or a closely related field.

Substitution: College education from an accredited college with a course emphasis in social services or a related field may substitute for the required experience.
