Salary Information
Compensation plans are based on a multistep progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies**
Nature of Work
The fundamental reason that this position existsis to perform professional accounting work to support the financial operationsand activities of the county government. The essential functions of thisposition include obtaining financial data and information preparing and processingfinancial documents and related information evaluating financial data andinformation providing financial and accountinginformation to management employees or other groups. Employees perform professional assignmentsrequiring developed judgment and discretion in the application of professionalaccounting theory. Employees perform a variety of accounting assignments and/orassume ongoing responsibility for an element of a larger accounting program.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelorsdegree in accounting business administration public administration or aclosely related field with 33 semester or 45 quarter hours of accounting coursework and two years of governmental accounting or auditing experience. Governmentalaccounting experience is preferred.
Two years ofpractical experience in an ERP platform or system
Note: Qualifyingeducation training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge skillsand abilities to perform the job will be considered.
