Job Description

WHO WE ARE:The Elmhurst Park District established in 1920 and located 16 miles west of Chicago provides parks recreation facilities and programs to meet our mission of enriching lives while having fun! We have an exciting fulltime job opportunity as PARKS SPECIALIST II Trash/Weekends!

WHAT YOULL DO:The position is responsible for performing general park maintenance duties throughout the District with an emphasis on trash removal and litter collection. Additional duties include but are not limited to mowing tree removal athletic field maintenance parking lot repairs and snow removal.


WHAT YOULL BRING:

  • High school or trade school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of experience in parks maintenance or athletic field maintenance.
  • A State of Illinois Pesticide Operators License required within 6 months of hire
  • Illinois Class C drivers license required within 6 months of hire.


WHEN YOULL WORK:

  • The schedule for this position is Friday through Tuesday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm with days off falling on Wednesday and Thursday.


WHAT YOULL GET:

  • For internal equity and budgetary considerations the anticipated starting pay for this nonexempt position is set at $47216/year.
  • This position falls under Pay Grade 2 with a pay range of $45516$63723.
