We are seeking a talented individual to join our Accounting Operations team at Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC).This role will be based in Witham. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You will be part of a global team and the support this position provides will be vital in maintaining and developing the track record of success MMC has in ensuring all monthend and quarterend deliverables are met.

We will count on you to:

  • Produce & control review of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Journal creation review and approvals
  • Carry out Exception reporting and perform checks prior to issuing. Ensure timely investigation and resolution of any exception items
  • Ensure all monthend and quarterend deliverables are met.
  • Communicate regularly with offshore counterpart including senior management and treasury
  • Record and monitor new tasks through change control process
  • Attend meetings with managers colleagues as required. Assist with other adhoc tasks projects and initiatives as required.
  • Assist auditors.
  • Assist with current and future accounting operation transitions

What you need to have:

  • Minimum 2 years accounts experience.
  • Good accounting knowledge with experience in Balance sheet recs and journal entries
  • An excellent academic background ideally part or fully qualified AAT.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with both clients and colleagues within a fast moving professional team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
