Position Description
Seeking an IT Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Support technician to support the USSOUTHCOM Enterprise System in Doral FL. You are responsible for the installation configuration maintenance and support of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). You will work closely with Configuration Management IT staff and logistics to ensure that VDI thin clients are deployed and installed in a timely and efficient manner. You are also responsible for providing technical support to VDI users. By providing this direct support to SOUTHCOM (a combatant command) you help keep its mission on the tip of the spear. Primary Responsibilities
Typical Responsibilities/Tasks:
Create and maintain detailed system documentation
Primarily install users thin clients for Virtual Desktop Integration (VDI) deployment
Assist users with VDI troubleshooting and functionality
Create or modify procedures to solve technical problems related to VDI systems and programs
Conduct form design and layout activities with moderate guidance from manager
Perform preparation for VDI systems deployment and install
Under moderate supervision prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation maintenance and development of VDI systems
Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience
Required Qualifications
TSSCI can start with a Secret clearance
Two plus 2 years experience
Associate degree in a related technical discipline or commensurate level of experience based on position level
DoD 8570 IAT Level II & Computing Environment (e.g. MD100/WIN 10 etc. certification or higher in the same field
Desired Qualifications
Prior USSOUTHCOM experience
AZ 104 or AZ 900 certification
