The role

Luxury Account Director US

Position overview

The Luxury Account Director will lead advertising sales efforts across the Financial Times premium media platforms in the US market. This strategic role involves advising clients on the FTs luxury media portfolio which includes print digital audio and experiential platforms. A deep understanding of the FTs editorial mission and highvalue readership will inform a consultative sales approach handling relationships with leading luxury brands and delivering multiplatform advertising solutions through direct phonebased and customized outreach. This position plays a key role in advancing commercial growth and reinforcing the FTs presence in the luxury market.

Key responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets while developing a longterm territory strategy
  • Lead an existing client portfolio and proactively secure new business
  • Provide support to the sales manager on key internal and external projects
  • Use Salesforce for booking placements and maintaining detailed records of business development meetings and client activity
  • Collaborate across departments and regions using tools such as Slack
  • Close sales efficiently while handling the full business development cycle
  • Prepare extensively for client meetings and ensure thorough followup
  • Identify client marketing challenges and recommend effective solutions
  • Cultivate strong client relationships and industry connections
  • Present advertising solutions using visual aids research and datadriven sales materials
  • Submit accurate business forecasts estimates and administrative documentation
  • Communicate account updates and developments to internal partners

Required skills / experience

  • Strong interest in media and an understanding of the luxury brand landscape
  • Indepth knowledge of digital advertising trends and terminology
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations
  • Creative problemsolving capabilities paired with a proactive approach
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a teamoriented environment
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle competing priorities
  • Resultsoriented demeanor with the ability to lead projects from inception to completion

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $100000$110000. Final compensation will be based on various factors including experience training certifications and the needs of the business. This estimate reflects the range for the NYC office and may vary by location.
