About the Team
The Sora team is pioneering multimodal capabilities for OpenAIs foundation models. Were a hybrid research and product team focused on integrating multimodal functionalities into our AI products ensuring they are reliable userfriendly and aligned with our mission of broad societal benefit.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to drive the development of our multimodal product features. In this role you will collaborate closely with product managers designers researchers and fellow engineers to translate cuttingedge research into scalable impactful products.
As we explore new frontiers in videoenabled AI and other modalities you will build endtoend solutions that define our product strategy and lay the foundations for these initiatives. We value engineers who take initiative demonstrate strong product instincts and maintain a usercentric focus throughout their work.
In this role you will:
Design and develop robust usercentric frontend interfaces and scalable backend systems for innovative multimodal product features.
Collaborate crossfunctionally to translate user needs and research insights into comprehensive product solutions.
Integrate advanced video and multimodal capabilities seamlessly into our existing products.Contribute to defining technical roadmaps architectural decisions and product strategy.
Foster an inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives and challenges conventional thinking.
You might thrive in this role if you:
Have 6 years of industry experience as a Full Stack Engineer with a proven track record of shipping impactful userfocused products.
Excel in dynamic environments quickly adapting and turning complex requirements into elegant practical solutions.
Are proactive eager to learn new technologies and enthusiastic about sharing insights and mentoring team members.
Have experience with modern frontend frameworks (React Angular Vue) and backend systems (Python Go Ruby).
Bonus: Have experience developing videobased products or infrastructure which will be valuable as our product scales.
This role is based in San Francisco CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
