The GSS Human Resources Department provides support to the following business areas: Maritime Energy Systems Business Assurance Supply Chain & Product Assurance Accelerator and Digital Solutions.
DNV has an exciting opportunity for an HR / Senior HR Advisor who supports the local organisation of DNV with a range of advisory activities working with management to support the organisation and its employees. A great role for an aspiring professional who enjoys working in a dynamic and growing global organisation DNV in Australia has around 160 staff and is on a growth trajectory both organically and through acquisitions. DNV ANZ has its main offices in North Sydney Melbourne and Perth. This position reports into the Sydney based GSS HR Manager and is part of the regional team in Global Shared Services based in Singapore.
Job responsibilities:
- Be a business partner and provide a consultancy and advisory service to line management and HR Manager on employee relations and management issues (including the interpretation of relevant Acts Regulations Awards legislation internal policies and procedures).
- Provide valueadding advisory services e.g. training for line management and staff on new regulations.
- Be part in multidisciplinary GSS teams and participate in (international or global) projects and change processes.
- Implement govern and improve employee policies as well as ensure legislative compliance.
- Be the key point of contact to coordinate between business areas and visa agent on visa related queries.
- Maintain an effective understanding of DNV strategy and activities analyze business needs.
- Maintain accurate records by ensuring contractual employment agreements are up to date accurate and in accordance with company policy and legislation.
- Support and guide the global center teams where required with local advice.
- Support with employee wellbeing and engagement programs.
- Liaise with authorities on legal employment law issues where needed.
- Assist with potential workers compensation claims.
- Support with M&A activities.
- Complete the annual WGEA reporting and act as the go to person for the business to discuss the reporting.
- Support the business and Country Chair with HSE activities.

Qualifications- A recognized qualification in HR or a related discipline (ideally Bachelor level).
- Previous HR experience of at least 34 years in a similar role (e.g. HR Advisor).
- Eligibility to work in Australia (PR or citizenship).
- Have a sound understanding of local legislation and proactively seeks to understand changes to legislation and advises the business accordingly.
- Previous experience in advising the business of employment related matters (including performance management investigations etc. and ideally award mapping.
- Sound knowledge of HSE responsibilities including workers compensation claims.
- An interest and ability to execute HR administration as an important premise for HR management in the business areas.
- Customer focused service minded and solution driven.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
- Able to juggle multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
- Comfortable in a fastpaced MNC environment.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
