JOB Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION StokeOnTrent
TERM Permanent
SALARYper annum (plus benefits)
My client designs and manufactures a range of products and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the StokeOnTrent area.
The Graduate Mechanical Design Engineerwill ideally have the following attributes:
- Degree BSc / BEng qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar (HNC/ HND / NVQ may also be considered)
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software ideally Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD / iLogic but other programmes might also be considered
- 02 years or more industry experience
- Have the ability to carry out mechanical calculations
- Any previous experience of working with steel / metal materials would be desirable
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Be keen to develop with a company long term
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office
The Graduate Mechanical Designer Engineer role will involve:
- Working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers
- Seeing through design projects from concept through to completion
- Producing 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor CAD software and 2D designs with AutoCAD
- Generating the BOMs to go with the associated designs
- Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required
