The Operations Specialist position is responsible for dispatching ocean containers throughout the United States. This role owns the relationship with our valued customers and is instrumental in the successful coordination of the timely and accurate delivery of goods.
New hires will receive thorough training are given clear expectations and regular feedback. While we feel it is important for continuing education throughout your career successful newhires are regularly performing independently at a high level within the first 6 months of employment.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Candidates must first and foremost be trainable and willing to learn.
Strong interpersonal communication (written and verbal) and followthrough skills.
Ability to effectively multitask while prioritizing actions are paramount to success within the company.
Ideal Candidate for this position will be detailoriented and able to efficiently and professionally perform the following
tasks daily:
Manage a high volume of emails in a Microsoft Outlook Environment
Manage a high volume of phone communication
Build manage and maintain relationships with customers daily
Maintain constant communication with customers throughout the move process
Monitor and manage input accuracy for shipment details and rating information
Dispatch both import and export ocean containers throughout the US.
Responsible for rail billing
Problem solving
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years in the Transportation Industry ideally expertise in dispatch/logistics.
Complete understanding of all modes of land transportation
Knowledge of Steamship Line Rail Forwarder/Broker functions and procedures
Proficient with Microsoft Suite applications: Excel Word Outlook and Internet Browsers.
General knowledge in Domestic Geography and Country Time Zones.
Typing 60 words per minute
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of CargoWise One software
Knowledge of Transportation Industry specifically Intermodal
International experience Steamship Lines Freight Forwarders NVOCCs etc.

The expected salary range for this role is $60000 to $75000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience skills training location certifications education and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a casebycase basis. In addition to the base salary this position may be eligible for performancebased incentives.
