As the Marketing Coordinator you will work closely with and report directly to the Business Development Manager to drive marketing and business development related goals. You will be responsible for making regular visits to insurance brokers in an effort to build strong longterm business relationships.
The Technical Side of What Youll Bring

  • Visiting our network of insurance professionals representing the company and developing relationships with key individuals in the industry
  • Daily visits to Brokers.
  • Work with General Manager to distribute work obtained though brokers to Project managers.
  • Follow up with brokers and relaying site reports and job updates from project managers to brokers.
  • Helping to Plan scheduling and promoting our CE classes using Eventbrite and MailChimp as well as assisting with the day of events welcoming guests and ensuring all the behind the scenes activities are running smoothly. Designing and preparing all necessary materials for the class presenter ahead of time.
  • Organizing our customer appreciation events throughout the year i.e. booking vendors designing and sending invitations organizing staff volunteers
  • Attending industry events to represent company such as golf tournaments and tradeshows as well as preparing booths for such events
  • Help assisting in various events for the company internally through the year i.e. Company breakfasts and Christmas party
  • Collecting monthly sales reports from our database as well as other data to assist in reaching our sales goals

  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Detail oriented and organized with exceptional prioritization skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a group as well as independently motivated with minimal supervision
  • Capability to effectively communicate with senior management supervisors peers and clients internally and externally
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing and business development best practices
The Qualifications You Will Have

  • Postsecondary education in Sales/Marketing Business or Communications plus 24 years of experience in a marketing coordination role or equivalent combination
  • Proficiency with webbased tools and applications including Microsoft Office Photoshop PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator
  • Flexible able to work longer hours when needed
  • Proficiency with webbased tools and applications including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Marketing experience or other experiences within the insurance industry is an asset
Salary plus commission pay structure.
