Job Description

Stake Center Locating is looking for a Senior Director of Training to join our team. We focus in underground utility locating committed to preventing damage and protecting vital infrastructure.

Position Summary:

The Senior Director of Training will lead the design and continuous improvement of training programs for field technicians supervisors and operational leadership. This role ensures all training aligns with regulatory compliance safety protocols and industry best practices in underground utility locating. The ideal candidate is a handson leader who combines strategic vision with field experience helping to drive performance consistency and a culture of safety across all regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a companywide training strategy aligned with business goals regulatory standards and damage prevention priorities.

  • Partner with operations safety and compliance teams to identify skill gaps and address them through scalable training solutions.

  • Lead a team of Safety and Training Managers ensuring consistency and highquality delivery across all markets.

  • Monitor training effectiveness through performance metrics field audits and damage reduction data.

  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of federal state and local regulations related to underground utility locating and incorporate changes into training curriculum.

  • Foster a culture of learning accountability and safety from the field level up through senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of progressive experience in training and development.

  • Strong understanding of underground utility locating practices damage prevention and 811 processes.

  • Proven success in developing and scaling training programs in a fieldservice or constructionrelated environment.

  • Experience with OSHA NULCA standards and statespecific utility regulations.

  • Excellent leadership communication and crossfunctional collaboration skills.

  • Ability to travel regularly to field offices and job sites across the U.S.

  • Bachelors degree in Education Business Safety or related field (Masters preferred).
