Position Description:
PingWind is looking for a Global Command and Control Systems Analyst SME to work at U.S. SOUTHCOM in Doral Fl. This is an opportunity to provide primary system administrator support for maintaining the Global Command and Control Systems Enterprise servers in support of SOUTHCOMs combat mission. Qualified candidate will need to be a Jack of all trades in relation to System Administration and GCCS activities.
Duties include providing GCCS expertise/system guidance and consultation to down range units. Monitoring and validating GCCS server network/network storage device connectivity on a daily basis and maintaining and testing backup and restore functionality. Troubleshooting and performing system administration actions on GCCS servers and clients. Researching system issues and providing recommendations solutions or workarounds. Monitoring system performance providing recommendations for performance improvements and applying tuning changes to the GCCS servers. Coordinating maintenance downtime and GCCS software upgrades with staff leadership and analysts. Maintaining current GCCS server configuration documentation including sitespecific network connections and storage device allocations and updating documentation anytime the system hardware/software configuration is updated or changed. Supporting future installations/upgrades of the GCCS architecture. Installing GCCS software upgrades and verifying system upon completion of upgrades. Providing GCCS system maintenance and configuration recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
Experience serving as a GCCS system administrator
Knowledge of SOUTHCOM Combat Command processes and procedures
Selfstarter well versed in GCCS operations
Experience administering Windows based servers and workstations at the operating system and application level for Command and Control (C2 systems
Experience working with joint service user community and knowledge of systems processes and organizational structure
Experience performing IT preventative and remedial maintenance in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendations
TS with SCI Eligibility
Bachelors degree in a related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education technical certifications or training or work experience
10 Years directly in Sys Admin and supporting GCCS
8570 IAT Level II and Microsoft AZ104 or higher cert
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
