The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for anAssistant Director of Banquets to join the Events Team! Joinone of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a$400M renovationand expansion the resort is more stunning than ever.
Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego this 28acre property was built in 1888 and has 900 rooms (to include cottages and villas) over 250000 square feet of banquet space and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants 2 bars food truck marketplace ice cream shop and inroom dining.
In this role you will overseeing 180 Front of House Team Members 5 Banquet Managers and 3 Banquet SetUp Managers. You will be reporting directly to the Director of Banquets.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader with a passion for motivating a large team of food and beverage professionals and elevating service. At least 35 years of leadership experience in banquets is required. High volume luxury hotel experience and Union management experience is a plus.

As an Assistant Director of Banquets you would be responsible for assisting the Director in the direction and administration of the Banquet and Catering operations in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
