Job Description
- Administer monitor and optimize PostgreSQL database clusters with a preference for experience in EDB PostgreSQL environments
- Design implement and regularly test robust backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity
- Perform advanced performance tuning troubleshooting and debugging within complex enterprisegrade environments
- Configure deploy and maintain load balancing and connection pooling solutions (such as HAProxy and PgBouncer) to ensure high availability and optimal performance
- Install configure and maintain supporting infrastructure at the Linux OS level (primarily RedHat and Ubuntu distributions)
- Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including development DevOps and infrastructure groups to deliver resilient and scalable database solutions
- Participate in the oncall rotation after completing onboarding providing operational support and incident response as needed
- Proactively drive continuous improvements in database security system availability automation and operational efficiency
Qualifications :
- 3 years of experience managing PostgreSQL database clusters ideally with EDB PostgreSQL
- Proven experience in backup and recovery processes performance tuning and issue resolution in complex environments
- Practical experience with PostgreSQL load balancing and connection pooling tools (e.g. HAProxy PgBouncer)
- Strong background in Linux system administration (RedHat Ubuntu)
- Advanced level of German and English
