We are seeking an experienced Fasteners Buyer with a strong background in sourcing industrial fasteners for aerospace applications. This role is essential to ensuring timely supply of critical components by managing spot purchases resolving shortages and acting as the primary liaison with the plant all while maintaining strict aerospace quality and traceability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage urgent spot buys of certified aerospace fasteners to address production shortages.
Negotiate with domestic and international suppliers in compliance with AS9100 and full traceability requirements.
Provide direct and continuous support to the plants Supply Chain team.
Serve as the local interface between global procurement and site operations ensuring alignment with program requirements.
Ensure use of fasteners approved by engineering and listed in technical specifications (e.g. QPL DPD).
Required Profile:
Previous experience purchasing fasteners in the aerospace sectors.
Knowledge of aerospace specifications and standards (AS9100 QPL DFARS etc..
Strong problemsolving skills under pressure in supplycritical environments.
Intermediate to advanced English (mandatory for international supplier communication).
Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP Oracle etc. and basic understanding of traceability systems.
Qualifications :
Familiarity with ITAR / EAR compliance.
Experience with aerospace supplier audits or development.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (drawings BOMs specifications).
Additional Information :
Location: 100 on site availability to travel is required
