Junior Architect
The Junior Architect supports the architectural design team in delivering highquality residential construction projects. Working closely with Registered Architects Designers and Project Managers this role is responsible for assisting in project designs from client consultation through completion including design development specifications and permit submittals. The Junior Architect plays a key role in ensuring that project designs are functional costeffective and aligned with client role should align and embody Hazley Builders core vision and values.
Design & Architecture
Participate in all project stages including preliminary design design development and production hand off.
Collaborate with Registered Architect to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with building codes.
Conduct initial client interviews to understand design goals and document project scope.
Perform onsite measurements and documentation of existing conditions.
Produce asbuilt drawings and create functional and aesthetic design solutions.
Develop floor plans elevation drawings and 3D architectural renderings (AutoCAD Revit Chief Architect).
Work with Project Managers to analyze construction feasibility cost implications and project scheduling.
Assist in refining and developing detailed working drawings including electrical plans door/window schedules and specifications.
Recommend materials finishes and fixtures in collaboration with Designers.
Ensure all drawings and specifications comply with residential building codes and company standards.
Stay updated on design trends building codes and construction best practices.
Project Coordination & Collaboration
Participate in weekly design review meetings with design and production team members.
Work closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate cost estimation and construction feasibility.
Prepare contract drawings for review by Design Manager.
Conduct job site visits with Project Managers to resolve design issues and ensure project alignment.
Lead coordination and communication with the internal team client and consultants to maintain project progress
Documentation & Administration
Maintain organized project files including before/after photos design changes and client records.
Document time spent on tasks in 15minute increments for project tracking.
Ensure all drawings and documents meet company and industry standards before issuance.
Professional Development & Industry Engagement
Stay updated on residential construction codes permit requirements and building best practices.
Continuously improve design software proficiency and technical knowledge.
Conduct yourself in a professional positive and courteous manner at all times.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor of Architecture . from an accredited school or equivalent experience.
5 years of experience in residential architecture (new construction and remodeling preferred).
Actively seeking professional registration / liscensure.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and Chief Architect for drafting and rendering.
Strong understanding of residential building codes structural principles and material specifications.
Creative problemsolving skills with an ability to balance aesthetics functionality and cost.
Excellent communication and client interaction skills to translate ideas into practical designs.
Ability to work collaboratively with Registered Architects Designers and Project Managers.
Hand sketching ability for quick design conceptualization.
Experience in coordinating with contractors engineers and material vendors.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Buildertrend and other project management software is a plus.
Valid driver s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds.
Must be able to work at computer or desk area for extended periods of time.

Qualifications: Two 2 years of comparable construction Project Manager experiences, or at least eight 8 years of progressive experience in carpentry with some supervisory responsibility and knowledgeable in all phases of residential remodeling and construction procedures. High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) required. Additional training within or directly related to the construction management field is highly desired. Computer skills include but are not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and various construction management software platforms. Exceptional time management, organization, interpersonal, and process management skills. High level of motivation/enthusiasm, analytical ability, organization, and must be extremely detail oriented. Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language. Residential remodeling experience including layout knowledge of foundations, framing, cabinets, interior finish packages, and working with subcontractors. Ability to accurately prepare small scale estimates (primarily for Change Orders). Solid, thorough understanding of and ability to consistently follow construction documents (plans and specifications). Maintain a valid driver s license and state-required insurance.
