Overview
The Sr Backend Developer is a pivotal role focused on designing and implementing robust backend solutions that meet the needs of our dynamic business environment. As a senior member of the development team you will be responsible for creating scalable and efficient backend systems that power our applications ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This position requires a deep understanding of backend technologies and architecture as well as experience with modern development practices and tools. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the technical direction of projects while mentoring junior developers and collaborating closely with frontend teams. You will leverage your expertise to integrate new technologies and frameworks optimize system performance and contribute to the overall success of the organization. Working in a collaborative environment you will have the opportunity to influence architectural decisions improve coding standards and implement best practices in software development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop highquality reusable and scalable backend systems.
- Write clean maintainable code following industry best practices.
- Implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate userfacing elements.
- Optimize application performance and scalability.
- Ensure the security and data protection of applications.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex production issues.
- Manage deployment processes and continuous integration pipelines.
- Document development processes code standards and technical specifications.
- Participate in the design and architecture discussions.
- Assess and integrate thirdparty APIs and services.
- Mentor junior developers and assist in their development.
- Stay uptodate with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Contribute to agile development processes and ceremonies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5 years of professional backend development experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python Java or .
- Experience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
- Strong understanding of RESTful services and API design.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP).
- Experience with version control systems preferably Git.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to debug complex issues.
- Understanding of containerization (Docker Kubernetes).
- Experience with testing frameworks and unit testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
