Coordinator Recreational Places and Spaces
Permanent Full Time
From $100000 to $111500 per annum plus superannuation
Council is looking for enthusiastic driven individual to ensure the provision of Council owned and managed facilities and services continue to meet current and future community needs. In this position you will be working cooperatively and productively in partnership with the community and all stakeholders in the coordination development and implementation of recreational policies masterplans leases and licenses.
In this role you will be:
- Providing leadership and support to create an environment promoting high performance positivity and professional customer service.
- Overseeing and undertaking the preparation of council recreational projects including strategies feasibility and masterplans.
- Supporting councils Aquatic Officer in the supervision and coordination of Councils seasonal lifeguards and ensure councils aquatic facilities are compliant with relevant standards.
- Engaging with local community and sporting groups schools and other relevant stakeholders.
- Developing partnerships and networks with local volunteer Committees of Management community groups and organisations.
- Develop and monitor relevant budgets and regular reports on financial performance
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have relevant tertiary qualifications relevant to the area of sports and recreation and/or extensive experience in recreation within local government or other relevant authority.
- Have experience in the development and delivery of recreation programs.
- Have experience in providing leadership and direction in managing teams and multidisciplinary work tasks
