Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant Db2 DBA
We are seeking a skilled and experienced DB2 Database Administrator (DB2 DBA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have handson experience in the management optimization and administration of IBM DB2 databases across multiple platforms. As a DB2 DBA you will be responsible for ensuring the performance availability and security of our database systems as well as troubleshooting and resolving any databaserelated issues.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibility is to design and provide support on the database technology ensuring customer delight as per the defined size effort and schedule confirming to quality standards and best practices. Maintain and improve SLAs and always ensure compliance to HSBC policies. Actively look for automation opportunities strategize and automate repeat process to achieve organization objectives for efficiency.
Perform proactive analysis on daytoday work to obtain automation on deliveries thereby reducing repetitive and standardized tasks/processes.
Being global team ensure best practices are used to support the diverse customer group. Have thorough understanding of the environments to provide best service quality. Should have very good handson experience in the underlying technology/infrastructure. Work closely with the stakeholders to avail/impart all necessary training from time to time to ensure enhanced service delivery.
Experience working on several large complex projects in an architectural role designing and implementing technical solutions to commercial problems.
Excellent problem determination skills and the ability to detect and control any processing anomalies or system errors.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills particularly when conveying complex information and the ability to build effective networks across business areas developing relationships based on mutual trust.
Banking / Finance background would be beneficial.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills
MCA
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Understanding of functional requirements and translation of business Requirements into technical specifications.
Production support and Release Management of database environments.
Define the physical database Design.
Build review QA implement and support application database releases.
Implement RACF/ACF2 DB2 security rules and Access authority.
Build and maintain High Availability setup replication setups and interact with application teams and other infrastructure teams.
Implement RACF/ACF2 DB2 security rules and Access authority.
Data conversion/migration assistance.
Demonstrate analytical and problem management skills.
Solve problems laterally with intime information to line manager.
Providing consulting on database Performance Monitoring Tuning & Optimization
Facilitation planning and coordination with the development teams.
Participate in technical initiatives & Support in data Centre migrations.
Participate in evergreening database environments.
