Position Summary
Undergraduate research assistants will support ongoing projects at the Institute for Environmental Health Solutions as part of a structured research training program in environmental health. Students will receive direct mentorship from graduate students postdoctoral researchers and faculty in the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering. In addition to research activities students will participate in seminars workshops and other professional development opportunities coordinated by the program. This initiative represents a new partnership between the Gillings School of Global Public Health and UNC Pembroke. The goal is to strengthen environmental health training for undergraduate students at both institutions and to foster collaboration across our schools.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Applicants must be current undergraduate students with course work in a STEM field and have a demonstrated interest in environmental health research. Interest in how environmental exposures impact human health is encouraged. Prior research experience is not required.
