About the Role

The Strategic Communications Officer will play a key role within Ruahs Marketing Engagement & Partnerships (MEP) team supporting the development and delivery of communications strategies that aligns with Ruahs mission.

Reporting to the General Manager Marketing Engagement & Partnerships this role will focus on creating clear effective messaging across internal and external channels supporting change management and developing communication plans for key projects. The Strategic Communications Officer will also build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure communication efforts are wellcoordinated and aligned with Ruahs goals.

This is a fulltime permanent position working 38 hours per week in our Northbridge office.

What were looking for

It is expected that the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Tertiary qualification preferably in journalism or communications and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Strong writing and editing skills across print and online channels with the ability to adapt style tone and voice for different audiences and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic communication plans that align with organisational goals effectively engage stakeholders and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Experience working collaboratively with teams and Executive.
  • A minimum of five years experience in communications or a related field.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of diversity and social inclusion including gender sexuality disability cultural age and linguistic diversity and Aboriginal culture.
