As AWS continues to rapidly grow we seek a Senior Sales Leader to drive strategy and growth in our startup segment spanning early to latestage companies. In this role you will build and lead a highperforming team of account managers focused on making AWS the preferred cloud provider for innovative startups. Your responsibilities include increasing revenue boosting user adoption and ensuring customer retention. Additionally you will guide your team in helping startup customers successfully migrate their infrastructure to AWS from other platforms while expanding our market presence in the startup ecosystem.

As a sales leader you will collaborate directly with our gotomarket and business development teams to drive strategic initiatives joint programming and portfolio engagement. Your work will help improve lead generation and accelerate sales cycles for field teams. Youll partner with marketing solutions architecture and business development teams to create and implement a unified coverage model market strategy and goals for the AWS startup business.

You will be part of US Startup ecosystem including building a network across Founders VCs Accelerators and Incubators nationwide. You will be at the heart of latest trends like artificial intelligence (AI) machine learning (ML) serverless and IoT. Your customers leverage stateoftheart technologies on AWS to innovate and become the next disrupters like todays Shopify Slack Instacart or Lyft.

To be successful in this role you need to be passionate about startups and a selfstarter with entrepreneurial spirit who is prepared to work in a fastpaced environment execute against ambitious goals and consistently embrace the Amazon Culture.




Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Sales Leader youll play a vital role in providing business leadership and creative direction in this dynamic technology space. Your responsibilities include:

* Building and managing a field sales team
* Own the talent management strategy and outcomes for your team (performance management promotion pipelines leadership development mentoring programs etc.
* Lead the team with engagements with Founders CxO Board of Directors and VC influencers
* Partner with cross functional teams across Solution Architecture Business Development Marketing Partners and Training and execute customer acquisition programs and strategies
* Developing strong relationships with strategic startup customers
* Collaborating with AWS senior leadership for executive sponsorship
* Leading executive business reviews
* Identifying and shaping gotomarket opportunities

10 years of technology related sales business development or equivalent experience
10 years of sales management experience
Experience in technology related sales business development or equivalent
Experience working with and presenting to Clevel executives IT and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent
Experience leading in a customerfacing role in the technology industry or equivalent

Bachelors degree or equivalent
Experience working with new product/service development teams and their outbound functions
