Job Description
Essential Functions:
Responsible for running a variety of equipment including but not limited to; all types of Directional Drills (Air Hammer AT Drills Down hole mud motor Broad in rod Hydraulic Mud Motor) and locators various types of trucks excavators forklifts dump trucks etc.
Experience in drilling operation in both standard and highrisk areas.
Have knowledge of utility depths and placement.
Possess general knowledge of construction practices and be familiar with equipment including routine service and maintenance.
Serve as single point of contact with company crews customers inspectors subcontractors and vendors performing work in the field.
Overall awareness of the daily operations in accordance with job specifications and customer requirements while continually monitoring site for changing safety conditions and related issues.
Oversees all work is compliant with installation standards.
Qualifications:
Education Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Required: MUST HAVE
Direct experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling
Minimum 3 years operating a directional drill (Air HammerAT Drills Down hole mud motor Broad in rod Hydraulic Mud Motor)
Valid drivers license with clean driving record
Excellent communications
Interpersonal skills
Teamoriented skills.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects (up to including 50 pounds) walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts pushes pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina.
