Your next career opportunity
Appointed at either Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) depending on your experience youll lead teaching and research initiatives in the critical field of human nutrition. This role offers the opportunity to develop impactful and innovative research programs supported by stateoftheart infrastructure and strong networks across government industry and health organisations.

Whether youre an emerging academic or an established leader your expertise in nutrition including areas of public health nutrition or nutrition politics and policy; will help shape the next generation of nutrition professionals through our Bachelor of Science (Human Nutrition major) and postgraduate offerings.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive impactful research: Design conduct and publish highquality research in human nutrition. Secure external research funding and collaborate with national and international partners.
  • Deliver transformative education: Develop and teach engaging undergraduate and postgraduate subjects in nutrition including public health nutrition and related fields. Mentor and support students across all levels.
  • Contribute academic leadership: Participate in curriculum development school governance and broader academic initiatives across the School Faculty and University.
  • Foster interdisciplinary connections: Build collaborations within the University and with external stakeholders including government agencies NGOs and industry partners.

You may be a great fit if:
You are a passionate nutrition expert with a PhD in human nutrition or a related discipline and a track record (or clear potential) for excellence in research teaching and stakeholder engagement. Your work reflects a strong commitment to advancing health outcomes through nutrition science particularly in areas such as public health nutrition.

Depending on your experience you may bring:

  • A strong publication record in highquality international journals
  • Experience in teaching public health nutrition and nutrition politics/policy
  • A demonstrated or emerging record of securing external research funding
  • Experience supervising undergraduate and graduate research students
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines

The School of Agriculture Food and Ecosystem Sciences has a vision of science for flourishing environments and communities.
