Job Description

Position: Project Controls/Scheduler
Reports to: Director of Project Controls
Location: Columbus Ohio
Salary Range: $65000 $100000

The Construction Project Scheduler plays a pivotal role in planning and coordinating electrical construction projects. They are responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules ensuring seamless integration and sequencing of tasks to achieve project objectives. Working closely with project managers field teams general contractors and suppliers they collaborate to optimize project timelines resource allocation and minimize delays. This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update project electrical construction schedules using P6 considering activities sequencing resources and constraints
  • Establish accurate timelines for construction activities accounting for dependencies and critical paths
  • Coordinate with project managers field teams and stakeholders to allocate resources efficiently resolve conflicts and minimize delays
  • Monitor project progress by collecting and analyzing data identifying schedule deviations risks and opportunities for efficiency improvements
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of schedules progress reports change orders and relevant records
  • Generate regular reports presentations and updates to stakeholders on project status milestones and upcoming activities
  • Stay updated on industry trends regulations and best practices in construction scheduling through continuous professional development

Your Expertise

  • Required: You have a minimum of 5 years proven experience in construction scheduling or a similar role
  • Bonus Points: If you have earned an associates degree in construction management engineering or a related field
  • You are proficient in construction scheduling software (e.g. Primavera P6 Microsoft Project).
  • You have knowledge and experience in electrical construction processes methods and terminology
