OVERVIEW
St. Alphonsus School is seeking a caring and enthusiastic FullTime Preschool Aide to support our licensed preschool program for children ages 2.5 to 5 years old. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with young children values early childhood education and enjoys being part of a faithbased community.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma required; degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
Experience working with young children in a school daycare or similar setting preferred.
Must pass background check and meet Archdiocese of Seattle Safe Environment requirements.
Must have or be able to obtain a First Aid/CPR certificate TB test food handlers permit and DCYF MERIT account.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist the lead preschool teacher in implementing ageappropriate activities that foster social emotional and cognitive development.
Supervise and engage with children during playtime circle time and other classroom activities.
Help maintain a safe clean and organized classroom environment.
Support children with basic needs such as handwashing snack time and restroom assistance.
Encourage positive behavior and model respectful interactions.
Assist with classroom setup transitions and endofday cleanup.
Collaborate with the preschool teacher and school staff to ensure a nurturing and structured learning environment.
Adhere to school policies and procedures including health and safety regulations.
A patient warm and supportive demeanor.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

COMPENSATION
The range for this position is $25$30/hour. Compensation is determined based on internal equity market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications.

HOURS
The Preschool Aide will work from 8am3:30pm when school is in session. This position is not paid over the summer when school is not in session. There are opportunities to work more hours over the summer if the Aide decides to assist with summer day care.
