Our team brings OpenAIs most capable technology to the world through our products. Weve released ChatGPT GPT4o the Assistants API and DALLE. We empower consumers and developers alike to use and access our stateoftheart AI models allowing them to do things that theyve never been able to before.
Across all product lines we ensure that these powerful tools are used responsibly. This is a key part of OpenAIs path towards safely deploying broadly beneficial Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Safety is more important to us than unfettered growth.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to help bring ChatGPT to some of the largest companies in the world. The ideal candidate has experience building products for businesses and consumers and is passionate about working with strategic customers and our GTM team. This role requires close collaboration with our research engineering design and GTM teams.
This position is based in San Francisco CA. We utilize a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
In this role you will:
Develop a strategy for how to bring cutting edge AI research to people and organizations across the world spanning consumers startups large enterprises and everything in between.
Convert user feedback into detailed product requirements narratives and technical specifications.
Use data to better understand user needs and guide future product development.
Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including teams in research product design engineering and GTM.
You might thrive in this role if you:
Have 6 years of product management or related industry experience.
Obtained a bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems Analytics Mathematics Physics Applied Sciences or a related field.
Have proven experience working in a technical environment with crossfunctional teams to drive product vision define requirements and guide the team through key milestones.
Showcase strong leadership organizational and skills along with proven communication abilities.
Have worked on and are deeply familiar with RetrievalAugmented Generation (RAG)
