SUMMARY
The Commercial Sales Manager will be responsible for the development and coordination of all banking relationships in the local market including profitability strategic goals and management policies. This role will be responsible for developing and managing a cross functional marketing strategy to grow revenue in the local market through growth of client and prospective client relationships crossfunctional marketing events and management of contributions/community activities. This role will be directly responsible for developing and maintaining a leadership role with various civic political and charitable positions within a given metropolitan region and will serve as the public face and spokesperson for Sunwest Bank within the market.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide vision and leadership in the development of strategic and annual business plan for assigned region that is consistent with the Market Presidents vision for the overall market and Sunwest Bank; establish operating goals and standards consistent with strategies policies and procedures.
- Oversee all sales and service activities of the Relationship Managers to ensure current and potential clients receive the best possible service.
- Ensure the team is taking consistent actions to grow and retain relationships with targeted client groups by coordinating all aspects of the client relationship; ensure appropriate resources are dedicated to facilitate successful outcomes; responsible for relationship review and overall relationship profitability.
- Directly engage with clients and prospects to maintain and expand lending portfolio and deposit relationships.
- Create high performance culture which demands accountability for superior results through the development and maintenance of an extensive network of business contacts community leaders executive management clients prospect opportunities and referral source across the entire team in order to meet and exceed production goals.
- Provide employees with timely candid and constructive performance feedback; ensure professional development of team; provide challenging opportunities that enhance career growth recognize and reward employees for accomplishments.
- Identify recruit and retain top talent onto team; develop appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength
- Contribute to the overall profitability of the portfolio through risk mitigation costs controls and compliance to ensure compliance with established budget.
- Actively engage with other Sales Managers in the development of a consistent sales culture across the entire organization.
- Identify and develop solutions for problems that could pose potential sales or operational deficiencies.
- Manage the prioritization of the underwriting needs for the teams loan pipeline and oversee the credit compliance of the teams existing loan portfolio to ensure financial reporting and covenant performance is maintained at acceptable levels to financial regulators.
- Through partnering with Risk Management have a thorough understanding of all regulatory changes and ensure compliance with all respective regulatory requirements and guidelines.
- Manage and maintain loan portfolio credit quality. Communicate appropriate loan policies and guidelines considering quality pricing and types of loan.
- Maintain a sound loan portfolio control expenses at acceptable levels achieve an optimal net interest margin and maintain a high level of customer service while maintaining local flavor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 7 Years of Lending Experience (Commercial Consumer and/or Mortgage)
- 3 Years of Sales Management Experience
- Formal Credit Training (preferred but not required)
- Clearly demonstrates a thorough knowledge of various Commercial Loan Structures and Risk Mitigation Tactics
- Supervisory & Leadership Experience
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited University
