Job Description

Overview
The HR Executive plays a critical role in the success of a salon by managing various human resource functions that directly affect its staff and overall service quality. This position is integral in building an efficient and effective workforce that is motivated and aligned with the salons goals. The HR Executive ensures the recruitment development and retention of talent while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Given the unique dynamics of the salon industry the HR Executive must possess specific knowledge and skills tailored to the beauty and personal care sector. The role involves not just administrative tasks but also strategic involvement in crafting policies that support staff wellbeing and enhance customer satisfaction. Ultimately the HR Executive is responsible for creating a thriving organizational culture that supports artist talent growth improves employee engagement and elevates service standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire recruitment process for hairstylists and support staff.
  • Develop job descriptions and specifications tailored to salon positions.
  • Conduct interviews and assess candidate qualifications in alignment with salon needs.
  • Maintain employee records to ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Handle employee onboarding and training programs.
  • Implement performance management systems to evaluate staff performance.
  • Organize and oversee employee engagement activities and teambuilding events.
  • Address employee grievances and manage conflict resolution.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees.
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback for improving retention.
  • Develop and review HR policies and procedures specific to the salon environment.
  • Monitor industry trends to adjust HR practices and remain competitive.
  • Ensure employees follow all salon safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist in payroll processing and manage employee benefits.
  • Support the salon manager with strategic planning and development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of HR experience in the salon or beauty industry.
  • Thorough understanding of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Experience with HR software and databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in employee training and development.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Teamoriented with a positive attitude.
  • Selfmotivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Certification from a recognized HR organization is a plus.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing salon dynamics.
