Job Description

Overview
The Hostess/Kitchen Captain/Steward plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations at our Ahmedabad outlet. This position is essential for creating a welcoming environment for patrons managing dining flow and assisting with kitchen operations. The Hostess is the first point of contact setting the tone for the customer experience while the Kitchen Captain manages kitchen staff and inventory ensuring food quality and safety standards. Stewards assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the dining area and kitchen. All three roles work collaboratively to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Their ability to juggle multiple responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude greatly contributes to the overall success of the establishment. Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously.
  • Manage reservation and waitlist processes efficiently.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely order delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining area.
  • Assist in food preparation and presentation as needed.
  • Monitor food quality and safety standards.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock organization.
  • Support the training of new staff members.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collect feedback from guests to enhance service quality.
  • Manage dining room flow and timing of service.
  • Participate in team meetings to share insights and suggestions.
  • Assist with special events and promotions as required.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and adaptability.
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems and restaurant management software.
  • Availability to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Positive attitude and ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Customeroriented mindset with a passion for service.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
  • A willingness to learn and grow in a fastpaced environment.
  • Familiarity with local dining trends and food preferences.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to pass background checks and health screenings.
