Video Content Creator

Reporting to the Head of Content and Social Media and working closely with the video content lead the video content creator will be responsible for supporting JB HiFis video content programme. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to plan and  produce innovative and effective content for use across web social media channels and paid performance media. The scope of the role primarily focusses on research scripting and video editing. It requires a strong proficiency in storytelling exceptional video editing skills and end to end project management.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and script writing

• Research and write clear and engaging customer facing scripts on current consumer electronic products categories and latest trends in an easy to understand educational wellstructured message that aligns with JBs authentic tone.
• Ensure content copy has been thoroughly researched and is best in class to deliver informative and interesting and helpful content for our customers.
• Adapt scripts as required for different video formats including promotional videos social media and more.

Video Content Creation

• Endtoend development & production of video content including creative concepting planning script writing shooting editing lighting sound & postproduction
• and edit raw footage to create engaging content that incorporates relevant graphics effects and animations and sound.
• Maintain consistency in style tone and branding across all video projects.
• Work with the internal teams to publish content.
• Direct presenters on set and ideally be able to present pieces to camera.
• Experience producing content specifically tailored for social media platforms like Instagram Reels TikTok YouTube and Facebook. 
• Understanding of platformspecific best practices for engagement trends and audience retention 

Project Management

• Manage the timings and operations of the video content to align with our go to market content calendar and broader marketing plan.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously across multiple channels and (at times) to tight deadlines.
• Communicating progress with the relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Ensure projects align with the brand objectives and are completed on time and within scope.

General

• Build strong working relationships with Marketing Buying Store Ops Training and external teams.
• Support with ad hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications :

• Proven project management organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proven product research and script writing experience.
• Technology and product knowledge a must
• 3 years proven experience in digital content production with endtoend video production e.g. creative concepting planning shooting editing lighting sound & postproduction
• Proficiency with Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
• Audio production and mixing skills
• Experience with basic 2D animated visual effects
• Experience working in a fast paced results driven environment
• Retail and customer facing experience preferred
• Pop culture knowledge a bonus
