The Payroll function is critical to the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Finance the Payroll Manager ensures that this process runs smoothly and is completed with a high level of accuracy while ensuring compliance with the relevant tax and employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in managing payroll processes for a large and diverse workforce (ideally 500 employees).
- Indepth knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and a solid understanding of multiple awards and enterprise agreements.
- Strong technical understanding & experience using Employment Hero is essential for this role.
- Ability to manage multiple payrolls ensuring accuracy and compliance across different employee groups.
- A strong understanding of tax compliance superannuation and other regulatory requirements related to payroll.
- Experience with endtoend payroll processing including but not limited to pay runs adjustments leave entitlements and statutory reporting.
- A track record of working in a remote environment with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee data with discretion.
