Job Description

Our Client is leading manufacturers of Instrumentation Control Data Cables and Fire Resistant Cables in addition to Low Voltage Power Cables. Looking to hire Production Engineer also have Process Knowledge

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Purpose and scope
The Process Engineer is responsible for establishing and implementation of processing techniques. Support production team in the of production plans achieving of targets as set by Production Manager or the Management. The supervisor is responsible for implement the continuous improvement plan.

  1. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  2. Prepare standard operating instructions for the machines and ensure the SOPs are followed reviewed and updated.
  3. Conduct process trial to establish new raw material and new machines/equipment to suit our requirement.
  4. Analyze the process s to find the root cause inorder to minimize and restrict within the standard s.
  5. Provide input and establish the standards to maintain the material consumption within the design values and reduce the consumption without affecting the product quality.
  6. Communicate with material supplier and machine supplier in case any issues arise during the process and ensure the issues are resolved.
  7. Analyze the CAR (Corrective Action Report) generated in the production department and provide the Correction Preventive action and implement the same on daily basis.
  8. Arrange tools and dies for the machines according to the cables sizes in advance to ensure the production runs without waiting for the dies and tools. Do regular check on the tools Dies and maintain the same.
  9. Coordinate with production supervisor to achieve the target as per the planned targets.
  10. Ensure all the machines are running as per the rated speed and implement the corrective actions wherever needed.
  11. Provide suggestion and propose new machines/new technology available in the market to improve the productivity and reduce s.
  12. Embossing wheels record and stock to be maintained to reuse wherever possible to save cost of making new wheels.
  13. Perform cost saving projects by increasing the speed reducing the s reducing the material consumption and improving the processing method.
  14. Prepare monthly report on the improvements problem solving CAR and cost saving etc. initiatives.
  15. Analyze the production losses due to Man Machine Material Method and Environment and report on daily basis.

  1. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
a) Education
Diploma/Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Plastic or Polymer technology.

b) Computer skills
MS Office.

c) Language
The incumbent shall possess passable spoken written and reading skills in English.
d) Experience
The incumbent shall have a minimum experience of 5 years in cable industry in a process or production engineering related role. He/she should be knowledgeable in cable terms machinery material and processes.
