Job Description

Philadelphia Country Club is currently seeking enthusiastic selfmotivated individuals to join our team as a Pool Experience Manager for Summer 2025 for our stateoftheart resortstyle pool. This opportunity is an exempt seasonal position with flexible scheduling and must have day night and evening availability.

The Philadelphia Country Club pool is a focal point of the Club in the summer months which includes a relaxing environment with outstanding food and beverage options. We are looking for a candidate who will manage all pool operations and has experience leading a team. This role will recruit train and supervise qualified staff and provide exceptional service and programs for our Members and their families and guests.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Recruits trains supervises and evaluates and develops the Pool staff in accordance with established Club procedures and policies. Manages new employee orientation.
Responsible for scheduling of all Staff and ensure that appropriate personnel are present at all times. Focal point on staff training to enhance the experience for our Members and their guests.
Ensures that all staff complies with the Clubs employee handbook club policies and procedures.
Partners with the Aquatics Director Head Swim Coach and other members of the management team to ensure smooth operations compliance and other various administrative tasks.
Assists the Director of Aquatics in implementing a learn to swim program; once implemented has oversight and management of this program
Acts in emergency situations and provides rescue assistance if needed. Administers first aid to minor injuries.
Maintains the cleanliness of the pool in compliance with health and safety requirements. Conducts daily checks of equipment for safety cleanliness and good repair. Ensures chemical levels in the pool are correct and safe.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: .
At least two years of relevant pool experience or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities preferred.
Must possess a current lifeguard certification along with CPR AED and First Aid certification and training. Must be familiar with Federal and State requirements and guidelines pertaining to pool management.
Pool chemical knowledge Certified pool operator license preferred.
Ability to work holidays and weekends
Must meet PCC standards for uniform grooming and hygiene.

Competencies:
Must be thoroughly familiar with laws regulations and guidelines pertaining to pool management with the knowledge to conduct the pool with the ability to enforce the rules.
Ability to act quickly calmly and effectively in emergencies. Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
Strategic visionary with sound practical skills analytical ability good judgement and strong operational focus.
Wellorganized and selfdirected individual with strong operational and leadership skills. Ability to use effective problem solving skills and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to use arms fingers legs hands whole body eyes and ears. Must maintain a degree of fitness and strength to meet the demands to be able to lift and/or move people equipment and supplies. Specific vision abilities include close vision and distance vision. The employees work environment is outdoors exposing them to all kinds of weather conditions including heat and direct sunlight. The noise level in the work environment is medium.
