We are seeking a proactive and strategic Global Health and Safety Program Manager to lead the development and of our global health and safety programs. This role is responsible for driving a culture of safety wellbeing and injury prevention across all sites. The successful candidate will be skilled implementing comprehensive EHS management systems and safety management software training programs and ergonomic initiatives by embedding Prevention by Design principles into our global operations.
Responsibilities- Directs the efforts of Environmental Health & Safety Analyst.
- Design and implement a comprehensive global health and safety strategy aligning with company goals and international standards.
- Lead the development and deployment of health and safety management systems ensuring they are scalable effective and compliant with applicable regulations and ISO standards (e.g. ISO 45001.
- Drive global initiatives focused on injury reduction and prevention including ergonomics and proactive hazard identification.
- Champion Prevention by Design principles collaborating with engineering operations and facilities teams to integrate safety early in project and workplace design processes.
- Oversee and deliver robust training programs tailored to diverse roles geographies and risk levelscovering topics such as ergonomics emergency response safe work practices and leadership accountability.
- Monitor analyze and report on global safety metrics leading root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for incidents and nearmisses.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with regional and sitelevel teams to provide technical guidance and promote best practices in ergonomics occupational health and environmental health and safety.
- Foster a global culture of safety encouraging employee involvement and feedback to enhance EHS programs and practices.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Ergonomics Engineering or a related field.
- 7 years of progressive EHS experience with a minimum of 3 years in a global or multisite leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience implementing EHS management systems (Safety Management software)
- Proven success in reducing workplace injuries and driving prevention initiatives.
- Expertise in developing and delivering training across varied audiences and geographies.
- Strong knowledge of global safety standards and regulations (OSHA EU Directives etc..
- Exceptional leadership communication and project management skills.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed 30
- Ability to travel to the N. Canton Ohio office weekly
