In this position you will play a key role in reviewing completed work unit documentation and materials to ensure they align with Department policies. You will also help manage and coordinate the Districts field construction project records utilizing tools such as the Computer Documentation System (CDS v3 ECMS and the PennDOT Project Collaboration Center (PPCC) on a PennDOTissued iPad. Your responsibilities will include conducting technical reviews of material costs for highway and bridge projects performing thorough audits to confirm the accuracy of documentation and work orders submitted by Project Management and ensuring that final quantities and costs reported by construction personnel are correct. Additionally you will assist in inspecting road and bridge construction operations to verify compliance with plans and specifications complete daily narrative reports using the ECMS project database and prepare other necessary project status and quality control reports. You will also support the placement and maintenance of work zone traffic control signs and devices in accordance with the Work Zone Traffic Control Plan and relevant publications.
