Job Description Summary
The Product Manager for GenAI at GE Vernova plays a crucial role in thedevelopment and of GenAIpowered products that transform business
processes. This role is essential to our mission of pioneering AIdriven
innovation and enhancing user experiences across the enterprise.
The Product Manager will work with across GE Vernova and with the GenAI
Portfolio Manager to identify prioritize and build out GenAI products. These
products (several) focus on delivering improvements and value through the lens
of the Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC) framework measuring the
impact of GenAI initiatives.
Additionally the Product Manager facilitates crossbusiness coordination
leveraging GenAI applications to drive operational improvements and foster
innovation across Vernova. Expertise in AI combined with strong business
acumen is pivotal in translating complex technical challenges into strategic
opportunities that propel the organization forward. These duties extend to not
only internally developed solutions but also to external suppliers (e.g. 3rd party
software).
As a GE Vernova accelerator GE Vernova Advanced Research is driving
strategy and leading research & development efforts to execute on the
businesss mission to help power the energy transition. We forge the
collaborations and help invent the technologies required to electrify and
decarbonize for a zerocarbon future.
Representing virtually every major scientific and engineering discipline our
researchers are collaborating with GE Vernovas businesses the U.S.
government and more than 420 entities at the forefront of technology to execute
on 150 energyfocused projects. Collectively these research programs and
initiatives aim to solve near term technical challenges deliver next generation
product advances and drive long term breakthrough innovation to enable more affordable reliable sustainable and secure energy.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Ownership and Development: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including business engineering and research to develop and execute product roadmaps that align with strategic objectives.
- Roadmap input: Provide input alongside the Portfolio manager to build the product roadmaps
- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists IT and designers to ensure the development of robust AI solutions maintaining technical rigor and introducing new methods for verifying success and identifying risks.
- User Experience: Focus on delivering exceptional user experiences by understanding and addressing user needs in AI applications.
- CrossBusiness Coordination: Support the coordination of GenAI applications to drive improvements and innovations across Vernova.
- DataDriven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to measure product performance and make informed decisions. Define and monitor metrics and KPIs to ensure the success and impact of AI initiatives.
- PostLaunch Support: Monitor product performance postlaunch gather user feedback and iterate on product features to enhance value delivery.
- 3rd party solutions: Oversee the interjection of GenAI products coming from 3rd party software suppliers and determine best technology fit.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Mathematics Computer Science Engineering or related field with 5 10 years relevant experience.
- Experience with GE/GE Vernova highly preferred.
- Business Acumen: Ability to integrate business strategy with technical initiatives.
- Leadership: Proven leadership in managing crossfunctional teams and projects. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and occasionally CSuite executives.
- Experience building and deploying AI applications.
- ProblemSolving Skills: Analytical skills to identify and solve risks and challenges.
- Technical Proficiency and DataDriven Mindset
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Bangalore India.
