Job Description


Summary

Supervises the operations of Subrogation and Workers Compensation department to recover money for the corporation.


Description

Logistics:

  • This is a full time 40 HPW) position and our ideal candidate will work onsite at our Columbia SC location.

What Youll Do:

  • Perform quality control reviews of staff to ensure appropriate understanding and utilization of applicable laws contracts policies and procedures.
  • Monitor production and timeliness of work.
  • Responsible for handling personnel issues including hiring training and motivating. Monitor production and timeliness of work.
  • Enforce performance standards through training and disciplinary measures as needed.
  • Maintain effective public relations with groups marketing consultants providers members attorneys liability carriers and internal departments by providing accurate and prompt responses to inquiries.
  • Assist with and occasionally perform group and marketing presentations.
  • Assist and advise staff on complex matters concerning policies procedures system issues and legal issues.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly group divisional and corporate reports.
  • Monitor system issues.
  • Identify recommend and implement enhancements as necessary.
  • Participate in steering joint administration discussions (JAD) and other IS meetings and conduct system testing as necessary.


To Qualify for This Position Youll Need the Following:

  • Required Education: Bachelors Degree Equivalency: 4 years of jobrelated work experience or Associates and 2 years job related work experience
  • Required Work Experience: 3 years of legal claims customer service or negotiation experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Analyzes laws regulations and contract language. Evaluates issues and develops recommendations.
  • Handles confidential and sensitive information.
  • Investigates assigned claims.
  • Proposes claims adjustments and refunds.
