Summary
Supervises the operations of Subrogation and Workers Compensation department to recover money for the corporation.
Description
Logistics:
- This is a full time 40 HPW) position and our ideal candidate will work onsite at our Columbia SC location.
What Youll Do:
- Perform quality control reviews of staff to ensure appropriate understanding and utilization of applicable laws contracts policies and procedures.
- Monitor production and timeliness of work.
- Responsible for handling personnel issues including hiring training and motivating. Monitor production and timeliness of work.
- Enforce performance standards through training and disciplinary measures as needed.
- Maintain effective public relations with groups marketing consultants providers members attorneys liability carriers and internal departments by providing accurate and prompt responses to inquiries.
- Assist with and occasionally perform group and marketing presentations.
- Assist and advise staff on complex matters concerning policies procedures system issues and legal issues.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly group divisional and corporate reports.
- Monitor system issues.
- Identify recommend and implement enhancements as necessary.
- Participate in steering joint administration discussions (JAD) and other IS meetings and conduct system testing as necessary.
To Qualify for This Position Youll Need the Following:
- Required Education: Bachelors Degree Equivalency: 4 years of jobrelated work experience or Associates and 2 years job related work experience
- Required Work Experience: 3 years of legal claims customer service or negotiation experience.
- Skills and Abilities: Analyzes laws regulations and contract language. Evaluates issues and develops recommendations.
- Handles confidential and sensitive information.
- Investigates assigned claims.
- Proposes claims adjustments and refunds.
