Job Description

LMR Technical Group (LMR) is seeking a Clinical Support Coordinator.


Multiple positions may be hired from this announcement.


Location: Remote within the United States.


Job Description:

The Clinical Support Coordinator (CSC) is responsible for assuring the quality of clinical service is maintained through evaluation of Compensation and Pension (C&P) document requests and approving Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) order requests. Based on contract guidelines the CSC determines the appropriate Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQ) to assign to specified health conditions identified during order request review. Accurate review of the Veterans claims file and correctly labeling relevant evidence ensures pertinent information is identified during claims file bookmarking alerting Providers and allowing timely and accurate completion of the DBQs by the examiner. The CSC is responsible for timely work positively affecting the life cycle of the order. The CSC will collaborate with subject matter experts (SME) CSCII Leads and Supervisors to ensure completion of work aligns with established production and quality standards.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct accurate and timely review of records.
  • Evaluate and interpret order requests.
  • Quality setup of order request to aid Provider in exam review.
  • Claims file review and identification of relevant evidence.
  • Quality claims file bookmarking to aid Provider in exam review.
  • Request clarification for errors and/or requests not meeting contractual requirements.
  • Identify trends of new or changing order items.
  • Participates in projects and team meetings.
  • Perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Conduct task completion via automated workflow.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • Vocational or Technical Training/Education in a Medical related field such as Medical Assistant LPN Health Information Technology (HIT) EMT Medic Corpsman or completion of the following 4 courses: Anatomy and Physiology Medical Terminology Human Body Systems and Common Diseases or equivalent combination of education experience and/or applicable military experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of healthcare documentation to include medical behavioral and psychological terminology.
  • Ability to identify lab results and ancillary services.
  • Ability to interpret medical documentation.
  • Proficient computer skills including experience with web browsers internet search engines common keyboard/computer commands SharePoint and Microsoft Suite including Teams Outlook Word Excel and OneNote.
  • Working knowledge of windows base data base.
  • Previous experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) / Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Working knowledge of technical writing.
  • Ability to anticipate potential problems.
  • Demonstrates a coachable mindset.
  • Ability to avoid distractions and remain focused.
  • Ability to assess and implement appropriate decision strategy.
  • Ability to explore solutions collaboratively.
  • Distractionfree dedicated space in home for home office; this includes establishing or continuing regular child or dependent care arrangements.
  • Access to highspeed internet (cable fiber optic).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.



    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge and understanding of CPT and ICD coding.
    • Experience with traumatic brain injuries neuropsychological testing occupational health or behavioral health.
    • Ability to type 40 words per minute.
    • Experience with a virtual learning platform such as Microsoft Teams Zoom WebEx and screen sharing.
    • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations.



    Work Environment:

    • Business casual is required and attire should be appropriate for video meetings.
    • A private secure workspace is required for this role.
    • Work must be performed at the address on file. Traveling with equipment is not allowed and is considered a HIPAA violation.
    • A hardwired internet connection is required with minimum speeds of 20 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload.



    Physical Demands:

    • Remain in a stationary position (seated) for extended periods up to 8 hours per day.
    • Use a computer and related peripherals (keyboard mouse monitor) for prolonged periods
    • Perform repetitive motions such as typing and data entry.
    • Occasionally lift or move office items up to 10 pounds (e.g. computer equipment).
    • Communicate effectively via video conferencing phone and messaging platforms



    Working Hours:

    • 3 weeks of training: Monday through Friday from 8:00 4:30 Central Time.
    • Post training shift: Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Central Time.



    Expected Pay Range:$20.50 $21.75 per hour. Rate will be based on jobrelated knowledge skills education training and work location.
