  • Office based in Parramatta; flexible working supported
  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $148230 to $162682 superannuation

About the team

The Strategic Policy and Cabinet branch provides direct support to the Deputy Secretary Secretary Executive Leadership Team and Ministers Offices. The Branch is agile and responsive and its staff are capable respectful resilient and proactive.

About the role

Lead a dynamic team to efficiently coordinate key functions processes and projects that drive the Departments strategic outcomes. You will oversee submissions provide crossagency advice and support the Executive Leadership Teams strategic agenda.

  • Deliver highprofile projects.
  • Coordinate quality advice for senior decisionmakers.
  • Advise on complex policy and governance issues.
  • Research and recommend solutions for public policy and governance.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Engage with executive and ministerial staff to align with government directions.

About you

What we are looking for:

  • Autonomous DecisionMaker:Confidently manage work priorities and ensure highquality accurate advice.
  • Leadership Experience:Proven track record in leading teams on government policy projects governance and strategic coordination.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Expert:Excel at building and maintaining strong productive relationships.
  • Thrives in FastPaced Environments:Adapt and perform in hightouch dynamic settings.
  • Policy & Governance Advisor:Experience providing expert advice on complex issues identify emerging trends and develop evidencebased recommendations.
  • Analytical Thinker:Ability to research analyse and recommend solutions for complex and contentious public policy operations and governance matters.

The Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water(DCCEEW) works to protect the states environment and heritage. It leads the way on climate change driving the sustainable transition to a net zero economy powered by affordable reliable and clean energy.

DCCEEW conserves and protects the states natural environment. It manages the NSW National Park estate including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.

DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state to support the environment communities and industry.
