We are seeking a Human Resources Director for an esteemed engineering firm in Sacramento. This role presents an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative leadership team within a leading industry company that prioritizes worklife balance. The HR Director will spearhead the planning development and implementation of HR policies procedures and initiatives aligned with the companys mission and strategic objectives ensuring full legal compliance. Additionally they will oversee and mentor other HR team members to foster a positive and engaging employee experience across the organization. This position requires fulltime onsite presence. Salary: $140000 to $160000 DOE.


Qualified candidates will showcase a proven track record in designing and executing enterprisewide HR projects that drive business strategies and enhance organizational effectiveness.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and optimize the full cycle recruiting and onboarding process including sourcing interviewing hiring and employee integration.
  • Assess training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills knowledge and professional growth.
  • Design and implement a competitive compensation strategy based on market research and pay surveys.
  • Manage employee relations proactively addressing concerns and providing guidance to management on workplace issues.
  • Develop and oversee performance management processes including goal setting performance evaluations and career development planning.
  • Provide managers with guidance and support on performancerelated matters to drive employee success.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Develop and execute benefits strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Oversee internal training programs and ensure compliance with mandatory reporting requirements.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures align with local state and federal regulations.
  • Analyze compensation and benefits trends conduct salary reviews and maintain marketcompetitive pay structures.
  • Stay current on employment laws and regulations ensuring compliance across all HR practices.
  • Design and implement effective employee retention strategies.
  • Prepare and present HR reports and analytics on key workforce metrics and trends for leadership review.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field (required).
  • HR certification (e.g. SHRMCP PHR) is a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of HR management experience preferably in a technical or engineeringfocused environment.
  • Indepth knowledge of HR best practices employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute recruiting strategies that support company growth and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Experience implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure HR team success.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience managing payroll in a multistate organization.
  • Strong advisory and consulting skills with experience providing guidance to both management and employees.
  • Solid foundation in core HR principles to effectively support various HR functions and initiatives.
  • Familiarity with employment legislation including ADA FMLA EEOC FLSA and Title VII.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Teamoriented and proactive with the ability to remain composed in highpressure situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal problemsolving and criticalthinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
