Job Description

Position Summary

Manage the logistics and submit relative reports associated with noncredit community engagement classes; assist with customized business and industry training; continuing education and community education projects and programs.

Salary: Appropriate placement on ACCS Salary Schedule E2 Grade 3: $45220 $62710

Work Hours: Monday through Thursday 7:45 a.m. 5:15 p.m.; Friday 7:45 a.m. 11:45 a.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate with appropriate college community and industry contacts for the staffing and delivery of curriculum and services to meet client requirements for contracted training and activities.
  2. Oversee the deployment logistics of customized contract training and open enrollment (noncredit) courses including but not limited to assigning appropriate instructor(s); requisitioning materials supplies and textbooks; establishing the suitable learning location; invoicing for services.
  3. Effectively market the Colleges noncredit community and continuing education offerings internally and externally using social media and other means.
  4. Collect and report on participant evaluations of instructors and program content.
  5. Evaluate all classes equipment instructors materials and facilities to ensure quality.
  6. Assist in the contract process in order to meet financial goals through efficient management of college resources including the tracking of revenues and expenses of contracted services.
  7. Produce reports as requested by the appropriate administrator including but not limited to those relating to enrollment tracking training hours revenue generation and the overall productivity of the Workforce Solutions Department.
  8. Ensure proper registration of noncredit students for courses.
  9. Develop and recommend administrative procedural changes enabling the department to respond more efficiently and effectively to clients needs.
  10. Stay apprised and comply with continuing education guidelines for SACS Alabama Community College System and other entities relevant to noncredit and continuing education.
  11. Establish and maintain highquality trusting client relationships.
  12. Utilize the Workforce Solutions administrative processes to track and monitor client relationships and communicate status of proposals contracts and client accounts to internal and external stakeholders.
  13. Actively pursue grant opportunities and other partnerships and resources.
  14. Participate actively in college governance including service on divisional and college committees as requested or assigned.
  15. Perform all duties in a professional manner.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. A minimum of a Bachelors degree from an accredited institution and minimum of 3 years work experience in related field is required
  2. Demonstrated experience with Business Development Community Engagement Hospitality or a related customer driven industry is required.
  3. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products specifically skills in Microsoft Word and database management is required.

Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate through their experiences and accomplishments:
  1. Banner and Salesforce/Target X experience.
  2. Possession of a valid drivers license and the ability to be insurable.
  3. Demonstrated experience in delivering excellent customer service.
  4. Experience in coordinating all aspects of a programs including instructor coordination setting locations developing schedules acquiring needed equipment and materials and covering program administrative requirements participant tracking and feedback.
  5. Demonstrated ability to function as an effective team member.
  6. Ability to function with minimal supervision with attention to details and deadlines.
  7. Ability to work effectively courteously and tactfully with a diverse student population clients base vendors faculty staff federal agency representatives and the public sector.
  8. Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel within the Colleges service area and attend state and national meetings to accommodate the needs of the College.
  9. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  10. Experience with Social Media marketing.
  11. Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy and mission of the comprehensive community college.
  12. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  13. Ability to multitask and prioritize issues.
  14. Ability to operate in a high pressure situations and respond to issues in a calm professional manner.
  15. Willingness and desire to learn new things and apply that learning.
  16. Willingness to maintain flexibility in order to meet customer needs.
  17. A positive attitude regardless of circumstances at hand.
  18. Confidence in decision making and communication skills.
  19. Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  20. Working knowledge of advanced word processing email and spreadsheet applications.
  21. Ability to collect analyze and report significant data.
  22. Excellent marketing and presentation skills.
