Job Duties
Support the mission ofprovidingeducational opportunities in Pueblo and surrounding areas byassistingwith credit courses training programs student advising and class scheduling.
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Computer Information Systems (CIS) Health Information Technology (HIT) and Business departments.
Greet andassistoffice visitors answer phones take messages and direct inquiries appropriately.
Manage incoming mail and packages; deliver emergency messages and items across campus as needed.
Schedule meetings and appointmentsmaintaindepartment calendars and make travel arrangements.
Draft edit and process correspondence reports meeting minutes and forms.
Submit requests for building keys computer access and purchases; manage inventory of office and instructional supplies.
Track and report departmental expenditures andmaintainaccuraterecords for grant reporting.
Prepare and organize program data for departmental review and reporting purposes.
Prioritize daily tasks based on urgency and importance.
Assess inquiries (phone email or inperson) and decide whether to answer directly or refer to theappropriate person.
Schedule faculty andadvisorappointments by evaluating the urgency of the request.
Determinewhen and how information should be communicated to faculty staff and students.
Resolve or escalate student concerns related to advising registration faculty access or transfer credits by following College and System guidelines
Address and deescalate situations involving upset students when faculty or administrators are unavailable.
Offer solutions based on college policies and help students find alternatives when necessary.
Organize events such as industry visits cyber camps apprenticeship events student recruitment activities and advisory meetings.
Handlelogisticsincluding event planning forms room bookings invitations RSVPs and creating materials (flyers programs posters).
Maintain event records and databases of attendees advisory members and contacts.
Assistwith student registration in Banner and Navigate including updates and resolving issues.
Assign instructors and serve as backup for FLAC processing.
Notify students about class availability and changes such as cancellations.
Hire train supervise assign tasks and approve timesheets for workstudy students in CIS HIT and Business programs.
Provide backup for FLAC processing and perform other tasks as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Only:
Twentyfour months 24 of clerical experience as the primary function of the job which must include customer service and proficiency using Microsoft Office applications. In order to be considered for this position your clerical experience customer service and proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications must be documented on your application. Daily interaction with students faculty and staff require that this position have strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Candidate must have experience providing excellent customer service and interfacing with a variety of people from many levels within the organization and community. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for success in this position. Computer literacy is a must.Do not use SEE RESUME statements on application; your application must be completed in detail and clearly document your relevant work experience. (Part time experience will be prorated).

College university or noncorrespondence business school course work from an accredited institution in Business or similar field may substitute for the clerical experience on a year for year basis.
