Summary:
The Preschool Special Education Teacher provides individualized instruction and support to young children with diverse learning and developmental needs. Responsibilities include implementing IEPs applying specialized strategies such as Applied Behavior Analysis collaborating with families and staff monitoring student progress and maintaining a safe supportive classroom environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Participate in training provided by PDE related to specific techniquesfor students with multiple types of needs such as social physical motor cognitive communication &daily living skills.
Provide training and guided practice to support staff related to specific classroom techniques.
Provide guided practice related to the specific techniques in the area of Applied BehaviorAnalysis.
Provide training and resources to parents and community stakeholders in activities related to Applied BehaviorAnalysis Verbal Behaviorand the unique needs of the students.
Provide intensive instruction during individual and group lessons in assigned classroom.
Provide specially designed instruction for eligible special education students related to Applied Behavior Analysis.
Plan curriculum based on a variety of evaluations/assessments including not limited to the VB MAPP andBatelle Developmental Inventory3rd Edition.
Develop programs/lessons based onindividual studentassessment.
Evaluate and monitor student progress based on classroom performance progress monitoring data and observation of behavior.
Support objectives and interventions of the educational program.
Maintain safe physical environment of the classroom.
Maintain contact with parents of students and/or professionals concerning student progress through inperson meetings zoom conferences and written communication.
Develop IEPs addressing specific academic behavioral and speech needs of students
Prepare educational records classroom observation records and other documentation as required.
Function as case manager on IEP team addressing needs of students.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree in Special Education required Masters degree stronglypreferred
PDE Instructional Certificate in Special Educationrequired

Professional or Other Required Clearances

Current police child abuseand FBI fingerprint clearances within 1 yearrequired
Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)

Salary 202425 School Year:

$56355to $87396 InstructionalI Certification
$58814 to $90897 Instructional II Certification
$62567to $99261 Masters Degree
$65284 to $103169 Masters 15
$66706to$105039 Masters 30

Schedule:
MondayFriday (per PSE calendar) 7.5 hours per day 194days per school year including summers
