Service Coordinator Assertive Community Treatment
Annual Salary: $51253

Schedule: Monday Friday 8 am 4:30 pm with weekend hours every 2 months

Since 1971 the HamptonNewport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of highquality essential and communitybased services to citizens of the Peninsula who are living with mental illness developmental disabilities and substance use disorders.
As a Service Coordinator in our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses primarily schizophrenia. Your expertise will help provide crisis support and intensive outpatient services that empower clients to maintain stability in their communities particularly after discharge from psychiatric facilities. You will engage in comprehensive service coordination performing assessments treatment planning and advocating for clients as they navigate their recovery journey.
To excel as a Service Coordinator within our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team a Bachelors degree in Human Services as Social Work Psychology or Counseling is essential. Candidates should possess at least one year of experience in case management or service coordination demonstrating a solid foundation in addressing the needs of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Must be registered with the Board of Counseling to practice as a QMHPA or register with the Board of Counseling to practice as a QMHPA trainee within the first 30 days of employment.
